This essay introduces to the reader five reviews written by Moritz Schlick.
These reviews are evidence of Schlick’s ample interests, interests which ranged from publications on his own specific field of research – epistemology – to works regarding areas that nowadays we call philosophy of exact and natural sciences, but that at the time were clearly distinguished into two areas: Wissenschaftstheorie and Naturphilosophie.
They can add a brush stroke to that fresco of the relationship between logical empiricism and phenomenology that in the last few years has progressively become richer and richer, as well as shed light, partly a new light, on the ‘parting of the ways’ that affected European philosophy in the early decades of the 20th century.
