Abstract

Questo articolo affronta la questione se il discorso filosofico possa o meno avvalersi delle categorie dell'immagine scientifica. Sostengo che lo scontro tra le immagini sia meglio comprensibile a livello semantico piuttosto che ontologico e che derivi dalla sfida all'adeguatezza rappresentativa delle categorie che articolano i repertori concettuali dell'immagine manifesta. Una sfida che sarà vinta da una ricategorizzazione riuscita del concetto di persona nell'immagine scientifica. Suggerisco alcune ragioni per credere che tale ricategorizzazione sia possibile in linea di principio senza smantellare il discorso filosofico.
